All registrants received an email with instructions on accessing the virtual platform prior to the live conference days. You can access the platform via mywclc2021.iaslc.org.  

For new registrants, instructions are sent following the completion of online registration.

To ensure you do not have any troubles connecting, we encourage all participants to conduct a system check. Google Chrome is the recommended browser. Please do not use Internet Explorer.

Throughout the live virtual event you are able to connect with all other attendees, poster presenters and exhibit booth representatives in numerous ways: 

• Through the ‘Chat’ function in the bottom navigation 
• Through the public session chats in each session 
• Through the chats in the poster or exhibit booths 

• In the Meet the Expert Sessions (via Zoom) 
• In the Brain Exchange Discussion Groups (via Zoom) 
• Via IASLC’s social media channels using #WCLC21 

The best experience will be provided on a laptop or desktop using Chrome or Firefox browsers. Please do not use Internet Explorer. You can use a mobile device, however, some functionalities may be limited because of the screen size. We encourage you to use a computer. However, if you opt to use a mobile device, ensure you are using a strong Wi-Fi connection, as mobile phone networks are likely not going to have the required internet speed to handle video streaming.  

All WCLC 2021 sessions will be recorded and available to registered delegates to view on demand through December 17, 2021.

Yes, presenters have been asked to be available during the live broadcast of their session. For the session with Live Q&A, the presenters will be addressing your questions during the Live Q&A at the end of the sessions. 

For sessions without Live Q&A you can still ask questions via the Q&A chat box and the presenters will reply during the session.  

Yes, all presentation slides will be available in PDF format in the program auditorium on the virtual platform. 

All Education Presentations have been pre-recorded and will be pre-released on September 1 with the opening of the virtual platform. Please visit the Program Auditorium and click on the tile ‘Pre-release Content’. During the live days the pre-recordings for the Education Sessions will not be played and you should watch them in advance of the session. The Live Sessions will consist of brief 2min summaries for each talk and an extended question and answer period with our presenters.  

We listened to your feedback and introduced the following new formats and features to this year’s program: 

• Meet the Expert Sessions: Chat and directly interact with key experts about IASLC related topics not covered in the main program. These meetings have been organized by the IASLC membership committee and will be hosted in Zoom with limited capacity.  
• Brain Exchange Discussion Groups: Selected hot topics will be presented and discussed with key expert in our interactive and engaging Brain Discussion Groups. Topics have been selected by the program committee and will be hosted in Zoom with limited capacity.  
• Awards Lounge: IASLC is pleased to offer a number of different awards for outstanding contributions to the association or the field of thoracic oncology. Visit the awards lounge to see and congratulate our award winners. 

• IASLC General Assembly: The IASLC Executive Committee will provide updates on IASLC during the IASLC General Assembly on September 12.  
• Extended Q&A Time & Pre-release content: To allow for more Q&A and discussion times during the Educational Sessions, the full-length presentations for the Educational Sessions will be pre-released on September 1. During the live days, only brief 2min summaries will be played. Delegates are encouraged to watch the full-length recordings in advance of the live day sessions on September 10 and 14.  
• Workshop Day: To support IASLC’s mission, a full day workshop day will be introduced with sessions specifically developed to discuss hot topics in Latin America, South/South-East Asia, China and Middle East/North Africa. Additionally, the workshop day will feature highly interactive sessions on Women in Thoracic Oncology as well as a Workshop for Early Career Researchers. 

We are pleased to offer simultaneous translation into Japanese, Mandarin and Spanish for all Plenary Sessions including the Presidential Symposium.  

We will not be providing a delegate list, however, you will be able to communicate with and access all registered delegates through the people tab on the chat function throughout the live event.

Your registration gives you access to all live-streamed sessions as well as live Q&As, Meet the Expert, Brain Exchange and Industry Sessions. In addition, all registered delegates will have access to the recordings and presentation slides of all sessions and presentations until December 17, 2021.  

You can only login to the platform from one device at a time. Your login details cannot be shared with colleagues or anyone else.

All attendees will receive access to the platform a few days before the event, but no later than August 31. This will be sent to you via email from [email protected]. If you have not received your final registration confirmation email by August 31, please check your spam folder first before contacting [email protected].  

Your registration can be transferred to a colleague free of charge at any time before the start of the conference. Please contact [email protected].  

Registration cancellations received via email at the IASLC WCLC 2021 Conference Secretariat’s address on or before August 20, 2021 (23:59 PST) will be accepted and all fees refunded, less a USD 50 administrative fee, as per Committee policy. Cancellations received after August 20, 2021 (23:59 PST) will not be refunded. However, transfer of your registration to another person is permitted by re-accessing the original delegate’s registration information via the confirmation letter and replacing it with the new delegate’s information. No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the Conference. 

Donations to the International Lung Cancer Foundation are non-refundable.
